Enthusiastic Tracking Triple Seminar and Camp 9-Days of Canine Fun, Comradeship and Learning in the Northwest Bow, Washington, Sept. 18th26th, 2010 |
|
The Pacific Northwest is well known as tracking heaven by canine scent connoisseurs because one can track every day, and there are no poisonous snakes, fire ants, ticks, fox-tails, or poison ivy. Enjoy your vacation with your special canine friend doing what you both love to do and extend your stay with a tour through the Beautiful Puget Sound region (Islands, Waterways, Dog-Friendly Mountain Hikes, and much more). Choose from three two-day seminars (Beginning/TD, TDX and VST) and extend your learning with three days of individualized lessons each with deep-dives into key elements in tracking training. |
|
Start out with a two-day introduction to tracking for beginners and dogs working toward a TD.
Then focus on individualized problem solving with a deep dive into scent theory and practice. |
|
Tuesday and Wednesday we will focus on advanced field tracking teaching our dogs how to negotiate complex obstacles, cross-tracks and become confident on the older tracks of TDX.
Then enjoy another day to focus on individualized problem solving plus a deep-dive into designing tracks with a training purpose.
Friday and Saturday will be devoted to the complex scenting conditions found in urban tracking and learn key techniques to transition your dog from the pleasures of the field to the joys of urban scenting.
Finally we will finish up with a deep dive into motivation, re-motivation and advanced problem solving.
Optional evening dinners will provide additional opportunity to socialize with some lightly focused discussions about Diagnosing Skill Problems, Tracking Class Instructional Design, Finding Land for Practice and Tests, or whatever the group wants to talk about.
Come for a few days or sign-up for the whole 9-days, your dog will be glad you did. |
